Midpoint Reflection Due Friday April 16.

My internship at "Dwa Fanm" has been the same every single day. The environment at Dwa Fanm and IHSL is similar because people are friendly with me.

Some new skills that I had learned that I can apply at other jobs is 1) to be a receptionist because I been answering the phone every single day, 2) to be a secretary because I always organize the papers very good.

I don't really have an relationship with my mentor or co-workers at all. My English is still the same since beginning of my internship because I never have a chance to communicate with them because I don't have anything to say. The challenges at my internship that I have been faced with is to file the documents away by the person's name, I never had a chance to overcome them because I had to leave to do something else.

I did not face any problems in school as a result of the altered schedule and even through I do I would never had a chance to handling them. What I would like to accomplish during the remaining weeks, is to do another task beside what I do every single day. A new thing that I have learned about New York City as a result is many woman in New York face many challenges when their husbands beat them up and abuse them.

Four Weeks into internship-Due Friday March 25

The full name of my Internship is Dwa Fanm (meaning "Women's Rights" in Creole).
My job title is Program Assistant. The kind of service that my company provides is domestic violence and immigration counseling, advocacy for womens rights and makes referrals to different agencies.Three tasks that I have been doing regularly at my internship site is organizing and shredding office documents, creating case files. The three qualities that I have noticed about my mentor in the last four weeks are she is friendly and nice to new co-workers and also helpful. The memorable moment at my first three weeks are asking people what can I do for them, and sitting down with my friend laughing at each other and making fun of each other.Something that I really enjoy about my internship is talking on the phone. The most challenging part of my internship is filing documents away.

My internship site is located in Park Slope. Actually I leave school at 11:30 each day and I get to my internship at 12:30. I work until 4:30 and sometimes I get home around 6:10 each day. My schedule at Dwa Fanm on Tuesdays,Wednesdays and Thursdays I work from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. My mentor signs my time card and when she's not there an alternative supervisor signs for me and before I leave they always say "thank you for your time."
